This year for the 3rd Annual Altered Book Art Show, I designed a book in memory of our neighbor, Russell. I incorporated pictures, i.d. cards, keys, and tools into one of his books to create a snapshot of how we knew him. Russell belonged to that era of men who came to Alaska in the early days and found their place out here. He lived alone and wanted to be left alone, and Alaska afforded him that.
