I am honored & excited that the Baranov Museum purchased a series of my work with support from Museums Alaska and the Rasmuson Foundation. My work is described as "a playful interpretation of our Kodiak lifestyle" and depicts berries, flowers and fish in pen and watercolor.
Save the date & come visit during First Friday at the Baranov this Friday, September 1, from 5 -7 pm. Even if there are no berries this year, art will sustain us until next season! Small prints and cards available for purchase.
Oops! I goofed!
August dates in my 2017 calendar are out of whack! If you've purchased a calendar for yourself or as a gift, please contact me so I can give you corrected dates. If you purchased through my Etsy site, I am tracking you down. You may also try downloading & printing the corrected version below.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
What a busy winter! Summer is here, and I'm rolling up my sleeves to create more art!
The Frame Shop hosts First Friday, and KMXT does a lovely spot on my art!
Having a ball making collages. I'm using acrylic paint to hand tint papers that I then cut up to make my images! I'll make several new prints from the finished pieces and frame up the originals.
One of my pieces has been selected to be in Taku Graphics 2018 Raven Calendar (remember, calendars are printed way in advance...) What a way to start the year. Thank you, Taku Graphics!
Come find my booth at the AAUW Bazaar on Saturday, November 5, from 10 am til 4 pm. I'll be located in my usual, lovely, sunny space upstairs, in the Katurwik Room. That's the small room off the lobby. I'm excited to share my 2017 calendar, my ink and watercolor originals, new cards, and some old stand-bys!
Can't make AAUW? Please contact me, and I'll deliver to you.
My art is on etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/natashazahnpristas
Look for my art in a few new places this year: at Kodiak Beartown Market, at Norman's & Norman's Corner, on etsy, and in A Taste of Kodiak 2 cookbooks sold around town.
The Crab Fest Art Show is coming up!
Opening reception is Friday, May 27 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm, Harbor Room at the Kodiak Inn. The show continues Saturday 12-6 & Sunday 12-4.
Here's a peek at my collages-in-progress!
Come see my new items: magnets, cards, calendars, prints, and original paintings, collages, raven ornaments, and block prints at the AAUW Art Bazaar on Saturday, November 7th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. My booth is located in the Katurwik Room of the Kodiak Convention Center--it's the small room upstairs. Also new this year: I'm accepting credit cards, and I have local options for special order printing of 8 x10 art prints!
Join us, The Gypsy Artists, for our latest art show, Changing Tides/Changing Seasons, on Friday, October 1, from 5-7 pm at Harborside Fly-By during First Friday Art Walk. A mix of artists is presenting, and our art will adorn the walls at Fly-By for the month of October. In addition, many of The Gypsy Artists will also be showing work at art sales this fall, so this is a good chance to meet us and see what we do!
